What is The Bubble?
April 22nd, 2008Ok, this is a test, but the question is what is “The Bubble?”.
Answer: the comfort zone, the status quo, and mass of accumulated, but largely unquestioned conventional wisdom, silly metaphysics, bad science and superstition.
In Integral terms, the bubble is the postmodern tendency towards the “mean green meme”, also known as the “tag team from hell: narcissism and nihilism” (Ken Wilber).
This blog is dedicated to the human yearning for truth, meaning, and goodness, despite outmoded traditions on one hand, or postmodern “feel good” politics and slogans on the other.
It is also dedicated to scepticism. It will even be sceptical of scepticism.
It is premised on the idea that both rational thought and transcendence are valid aspects of human consciousness, so science and religion/spirituality should complement each other.
